London

Few cities can show as many amazing sights and fantastic attractions as London: the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral and Trafalgar Square to name a few. London’s vibrant culture keeps evolving: new trends start here and then spread themselves beyond the Channel in continental Europe

St James’s, Westminster and Whitehall

In these quarters you can find London true symbols: the Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and Scotland Yard

Bloomsbury

The British Museum is one of biggest museums in the world: nearly six million people visit it every year to admire any kind of collection, from the Egyptian mummies to contemporary art. Then walk towards Bedford Square to see read and dark brick houses in Victorian style with colourful front doors

Central and Mayfair

The ever crowded Piccadilly Circus is the heart of Central: a vibrant nightlife (clubs, bars, theatres) and any kind of cuisine are to founded here. In Mayfair walking in Oxford Street is a must: this road is an endless chain of shops and department stores till the Marble Arch

West End

Trafalgar Square is really fantastic: it’s huge and decorated with fountains, statues and monuments, behind Nelson’s Column there is the National Gallery; nearby Leicester Square is full of restaurants and theatres and bars. Visit as well the Covent Garden Market, the Strand with the impressive Somerset House and the Royal Courts of Justice

The City

The City has some of the most famous monuments and buildings in London, such as Guildhall Art Gallery, the Tower of London and the “Gherkin” glass skyscraper amid old Victorian houses. St Paul’s Cathedral is enormous and simply wonderful

East End and South Bank

The Tower Bridge is a masterpiece: on both side of Thames river there are very good spot to observe it (though at night choose the Queen’s Walk in Southbank). Brick Lane is ever busy and intense for its smells coming from ethnic restaurants. In Southbank you will find many attractions: to name a few, the London Eye, the Shakespeare’s Globe, Britain at War Experience Museum and HMS Belfast

Kensington

Natural History and Science Museums are located in South Kensington: they really deserve a visit. Walking towards Royal Albert Hall, expensive and tall red brick houses are all around: Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are situated right after the Albert Memorial

Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Notting Hill

Notting Hill houses in Kensington Park Gardens are simply gorgeous: their white Victorian style fronts are neat and perfect. Holland Park is a multicultural and tranquil place: no wonder that this quarter become famous due to a movie. Knightsbridge is celebrated for its expensive shops and Harrods, besides its very beautiful buildings
